Conant Ball Mid-Century Solid Maple Nine Piece Dining Room Set in Martinez, Contra Costa, California

I inherited this beautiful solid maple dining room set with a two piece buffet and hutch and it sat in my formal dining room for almost 20 years, only used on special occasions and otherwise covered with custom made pads for protection. It is stamped on the bottom of the table "Conant Ball Furniture Makers 1852" I believe this particular set was created in the early 50's and in spite of lengthy time in the internet trying to find out more about it, I am afraid I don't have much more to add.

The table is 48" round with two 12" leaves makes a 72" oblong table that seats eight comfortably. I have four matching high back chairs, one has arms. All are in excellent condition given their age. We always took good care of it. It is solid and the legs are sturdy.

We also have the matching buffet with removable hutch. Combined they measure just shy of 6' high.

The buffet measures 34" x 45.5 x 20", has two deep drawers with separators and are lined in felt. There are three cabinet doors on the face of it, but no shelves inside just an open area for storage.

The hutch measures 36" x 42.75" x 14". It has two small cubbies with doors and two notched shelves for storage. Hutch has an area of damage to the finish where a plant used to be and all pieces have wear and tear just from age alone, but we took very good care of this set.
